Phier is a new start-up company with expertise in computational modelling and adaptive optimization algorithms. Dr Peter Hellyer is the founder and the CEO of Phier, and also a Lecturer in Neuroimaging Analytics in the Department of Neuroimaging. Peter’s research uses a combination of structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI and DTI) to study the relationship between the dynamic functional activity of the brain, neural structure and cognition. In addition, he has significant expertise in developing novel computational modeling techniques to decompose and predict the dynamical properties of the human brain. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers.
