My name is Arianna Zanatta and I come from Italy. Prior to SAPIENS, I studied a Master in Neuroscience and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation at the University of Padova, Italy. Through various research placements during this time I gained experience in several neuroimaging techniques, including tDCS,EEG and fNIRS. Furthermore, I completed a one-year internship at a rehabilitation centre for children with developmental disorders based in Vicenza, Italy. In addition, as part of a one-year specialization course in Clinical Neuropsychology, I also developed skills in neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, across the lifespan.

In my project I will test whether an intervention approach that involves modifying parent recognition of and response to their young child impacts on child social communication outcomes and neural response to social (and non-social) stimuli (using EEG and fNIRS). The intervention will be conducted with 9- to 18-month-old infants at elevated likelihood of atypical social outcomes due to having an older sibling with an ASD diagnosis or being born prematurely.
